James Madison Montpelier Estate
James Madison Montpelier Estate
This blank features James Madison, our 4th US President. It comes with a 2.5" piece of wood from the Estate of Madison.
These pen blanks are from the wood of a Cedar of Lebanon Tree, circa 1850s, that stood next to the formal garden gate at James Madison’s Montpelier Estate. After unsuccessful attempts to save the tree it was removed in July 2019. President James Madison was known to have planted Cedar of Lebanon trees on the grounds of Montpelier Estate. A local tradition says that three Cedars of Lebanon were a gift from France to President Madison presented by Lafayette during his visit to Montpelier in 1824.
The blank is cast in Epoxy resin and made for 12.5 Jr Kit.
Some items are made to order and will be shipped in 1-2 days.
Please use a squaring jig with a sander to square up your label cast blanks, a barrel trimmer is not recommended, as it can damage the label.
